“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.” 1 John 4:18.

I chose this verse as my main life verse for his entire year. All year I have been learning what it truly means to love one another. The biggest struggle I have come across, is accepting that to love, is to in fact be vulnerable. Our society today likes to joke about love and make snarky comment on social media to mask the real pain we all face. We like to mock our singleness and loneliness as a way to cope with our reality. The fact of the matter is, we( as humans) are looking in the wrong places. When I found God, I found not only His perfect love that He has for me, but my very best friend. Never once has He ever left me or forsaken me. Never once has He ever lied or cheated me. In fact, the Bible talks about God’s promises all throughout scripture, and  I have never seen one of His promises not follow though. God is a God of promise, and it is in Him and in those promises that we are able to place our hope and trust in Him. So, while I am preparing for this incredible journey, I know there is nothing to fear, because the safest place to be is in His will. I love the term, ” casts out” in this version because when I gave God my trust, His overwhelming love, tossed my fear away. It was like night and day. The flick of a switch. Fear is a nasty trap, and it is so easy to fall into, but His mercies are new everyday. So my challenge for you today is, what fear are you holding onto? And when you know, what are you going to do about it?? Learn to be vulnerable and make mistakes. But also learn to trust in Him and REJOICE! We can choose to be people of the promise, or we can choose to be slaves to sin.

Well folks! That is all for now! Please continue to keep me in your prayers!
